Here are some of the criteria to evaluate the DSML gateways
- Open Source License
- Documentation Updated
- Active Development
- Ease of installation
- Availability on standard Linux platforms
- Requirements for configuration
- Speed/Performance Issues
- Memory Usage
- Ability to validate incoming DSML messages. Example validations:
- does the hcidentifier attribute meet our format (e.g. hcIdentifier="id_type:id_number")
- can we validate coded lists (e.g. facility code)
