David D. Potenziani is currently Senior Informatics Advisor at IntraHealth International. He works with a variety of nations and groups to develop and extend the application of health informatics technologies and approaches. Previously, he was Executive Director of the National Collaborative for Bio-Preparedness at the University of North Carolina. Before that, he was Senior Associate Dean at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and has served as its Director of Information Technology. He has served as an advisor to the American Public Health Association’s Health Informatics Information Technology special interest group. He has served on and chaired the Association of Schools of Public Health Learning Futures Council. He holds a faculty appointment in Health Policy and Management at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
